I have a tiny insect that's got behind my laptop screen so I can't squish it - how long before it will die and drop out of view?

In all my years sat in front of a computer, I've only seen that happen twice. I found it highly amusing on both occasions.

Sooner or later, the creature will just wander off.

      Depends what the insect is.
To squish it would be a bad idea, you would end up with a full stop where there should not be one.

Just immerse the laptop in boiling water, that'll get rid of him.
