People power prevails again

    I saw something on the news a while ago about a mean council wanting to destroy someone's communal garden.

    I felt strongly enough about it to write to their local council and have a go, asking them to explain how their action fits in with central government's 'big society' thing, and what better ideas they have for promoting a sense of pride in local communities.

    It seems I'm not the only one that felt that way, and here's the response I've just got from Wirral council.


    Looks to me like they want to save face by not admitting defeat as such, but it looks like they've seen sense and backed down.

      I think thats council speak for "The pots can stay, as long as the residents move them for the companies wanting to dig the road up"
