CD Wanted

I'm looking for a cd by Jet Harris called 'The Phoenix Rises', has anyone on GC got one they'd like to part with please.

 

I just had a google. I'm usually quite good at pinning down hard to find stuff. Sorry not this time though.

Thank you Clueless. It's my brother that's on the trail of this cd and I suspect he's already involved with the fan club, but I will pass it on just in case.

 

Wish him luck, and tell him not to give in. My mam once hinted that she'd love to see a certain film again that she saw when she was little (Little White Bull, by Tommy Steele). I thought no problem, I'll buy the DVD for her birthday. What a chore that turned out to be. It took me almost a year to track down a copy. That was quite a few years ago now so I can't remember the details, but somehow I ended up in contact with a movie buff/collector who sold me a copy - for £50.

Sheal, is it possible that it was released in the UK under a different title to the US? I say that because when I was having a google the other night, I saw quite a few mentions of it on US sites (but unfortunately nobody actually selling it), but non at all on UK based sites even though though the chap himself gets a lot of mentions on UK sites.

Is it specifically that album you are after, or the tracks on it? I ask that because some collectors seek out specific albums whereas some just like the tracks. If you're in the latter camp, might be worth search against against the song titles. You might find effectively the same album but released under a different album title.

 

My brother is a collector and seems to think it is a UK release, so yes, he wants that particular cd. The one that GCC suggested above is the American Amazon I think going by the dollar signs, but I can't find it there anyway.

Thanks for your suggestions, I'll have a look around tomorrow. I'll also ask my brother if he has any reference codes to go with as well.

For a worrying moment, I thought this was going to be a dodgy torrent site (the url suggests that) but it appears not, it appears its just metadata about CDs, ie the track listings and durations etc but not the music itself.

Don't know, I thought it was just the track listings rather than the actual music. If its the actual music being offered for free download, I'd be very dubious about the legality.
