    Hi there,
This is my first post on Gardener's corner so bare with me! I'm relatively new to gardening and was looking for any advice on what to grow? I already grow a few veggies but was looking to start with some potting or possibly cutting flowers? I live in quite a hilly part of Scotland where the weather is foul 70% of the time. I do not have a greenhouse but i do have a small poly-tunnel and a bright airy porch. Would anybody be able to suggest some hardy cutting or potting flowers that are easy to do?
    Many Thanks
    Rachel

        Welcome to GC @Rachel123 :sign0016:

What part of Scotland are you in? I am exiled down here in Surrey now, but still miss the countryside of home.

You'll like it here - very friendly forum with loads of good advice and plenty of good banter too :)

Originally in Dumfries itself, a wee while in Sanquhar and then Musselburgh before moving down here to the London area. I used to drive through Biggar regularly when cutting across through Skirling to get onto the A701

Sort of - its generally warmer for a longer part of the year, but that is about it. The water quality is terrible, the congestion on the roads is horrendous at times, and there is no scenery for miles around.

I will always miss home I think.

Hahaha, beginning to think we don't get summer up here anymore, the rain just gets warmer! And oh really? Never been to London, always wanted to go, maybe one day! I don't think i could cope with life in the city haha. Well they say there's no place like home!

Aye, its a bit of a culture shock. The centre is well worth a visit for all the touristy stuff, but out here in the suburbs its just traffic and buildings.
