    Hi all
I originally signed in about a year ago but hadn't the photographic equipment to take and post pics. Nor the time to post much.
Bought myself a camera and, having left my job, I now have a bit more time.
So I thought I'd post a link to a few picks from my garden(s).

I probably posted before that I have a courtyard that overlooks a very large pond (note inquisitive swan in pics - he tried to invade and did succeed eventually, little s*d) that is entirely containers, front garden that is spring / early summer planting and a detached rear garden that has a veg patch and two longish borders. Latter is not featured in pics as they were crap!

Apologies for the quality of pictures - it's my first attempt and I often forgot to use the macro setting. Would love to take pictures like Armandii but I suspect that may take many years of practice.

    Hope the link works!

O0ps, can't post links it seems. Not enough posts. So here is my first dahlia of the season, Excentrique. Will post more later.

:new: No idea where moo poo came from, though I could do with some of that! I think I may have typed a bad word? Cr*p?
!! Sorry!! Couldn't find an embarrassed emoticon.

Apologies, didn't think that was a swear word! I will adjust my language in future.

Hmm, may have been Auntiemand, or just Mand, old email was a tiscali (can't post it as I keep getting the link warning) address - same real name with no dot or anything. I joined at the same time as Fat Controller roughly. Thanks Ziggy.

Welcome back to GC Mandelifeboats. :) You'll soon get the hang of the camera, well it looks pretty much as if you have already with the above shot.

Thanks FC. Your garden looks fantastic!

Really looking forward to being a part of the site - and finally posting some pics.
Quite glad in some ways that I couldn't before - turned out my dumb macbook ports didn't work - but given I only had an aged blackberry to take pics, was probably a blessing.
New laptop, new camera, ready to go!

Thank you Sheal. It's a bit out of focus but was only my third or forth go at macro. When I can post a link it will show a bit of progress I hope - both gardening and camera work!

Thank you :) Its still very much a work in progress (not enough hours in the day!) but its getting there. Really nice to see you back; you'll find that GC has grown a wee bit since you were last here, but its still the friendliest forum on the net bar none.

And yes, I can confirm that your username was auntimand when you were here before - I see you have switched back to your usual moniker ;)

We all love photos here, so no doubt your camera and laptop will be pressed into service.

I think its something like 10 posts and a few likes (which you already have) and then you can post links; its just to make sure you are a person and not a robot :snork:

Thanks FC. For a work in progress it looks terrific. I share your dahlia obsession btw, though nowhere near as many plants.

A couple to be going on with until I can post links.... oh goodness, can't - they are too big and have no idea how to resize. Shall have to do a bit of research.
