As I know to my cost! American knitting patterns are a totally different language even though they speak English!

I can sew, knit, make bobbin lace and upholster and I can't for the life of me crochet! It's not for the want of trying either, a mental block no doubt.

 

Are you putting the hoops in the right position on the lawn?

 

haha @Zigs when i tell people i crochet for a job they seem to always think im a professional croquet player lol (doubt they even exist anyway)

and @Sheal I cant do any of those other things so how about i crochet for you and you do all of the other stuff for me lol

Saw these the other day in someone's garden. The owner of the house makes these. Want them so bad in my own garden. Fairly tall, like 5 foot tall.
So cute.

 

Anyone here know about sewing machine tensions? I can never get the tension right on my machine and always screw up most of the time.
