Super photos Woo, I never have my box brownie handy when I see something worth snapping! I saw my 1st ever Goldcrest today. What a lovely wee bird. it was fluttering about in a sizeable Larch up in our little wood. I wasn't certain that it was a Goldcrest until I Googled it and sure enough. I had always thought The Wren was the UK's smallest bird but evidently the Goldcrest and Firecrest have that "honour". Do hope it stay around these parts and I can catch a glimpse upload_2014-11-16_16-35-25.jpeg
of it again. The photo was not taken by me , swiped off the net!

I went for a short walk around Arne RSPB early this morning and saw 10 Goldcrests feeding in mixed Conifer and Oak, they were occasionally joined by flocks of Long Tailed Tits and Blue Tits. They were very mobile and I just couldn't get a pic.:frown: I went to find the Firecrest that is there now around the car park but could I find it!!! It must have known I was looking.
