    Hello all ,

So glad I found this place as I have no knowledge on gardens what so ever, my first house had a really small one so I slabbed it top to bottom and it was the saddest garden ever, now we have moved into a new build with a now size garden , but it was all grass and dull, the first thing I did was lay a patio so when I finally have a nice garden we can sit out and enjoy it. Projects for this year is to add some borders and start my pond design , will need loads of help on what to plant and some good tips as most things I touch die.

Can't wait to hear back from you all

    Jamie

            Hi

Have a good old nose about :th scifD36::th scifD36::th scifD36:

have a look at the photo albums on here they may inspire

we like photos on here also it keeps a record of what you have achieved.

Also let us know what type of soil you have (soil kit is a must in a new garden only cost a couple of quid ) it will save you lots in the future as certain plants like different types of soil and if they dont have it they will die

How much sun the garden gets as well , shady parts etc .... time of day will help in choosing the right plants

Always remember with ponds anything that falls in need to be able to get out especially hedgehogs

            Spruce

Thanks all for the welcomes, will get some pictures up showing the shady areas, will also test the soil. Got some Main objectives I'd like to put into place, like have a Japanese theme, make the garden inviting for birds, as we don't get any at the minute and its horrid, also would like a pond. I love the look of acer trees and my good half loves the look of potted lemon trees
