It feels wrong posting this in here, because I think this gallery is for gardens/landscapes only?

Anyway I don't know if I'm really allowed to put this in here, but here is some street photography. Feel free to move, if in the wrong place.

I like photography like this in black and white only. Your eyes can focus on the subject matter without being distracted by colours. Well, that's how it is for me,

Number one is a great piccie Stephen...

            Agreed!
 :noidea: That is the *only* one that is not completely black and white, Jen-Jen :heehee: (But, I do totally understand your sentiments ;) )

Don't worry I didn't wake him up, I had to take a second look to see if I was going get told where to go, or if he ran down the street after me, but I don't think he had the energy.

Re: black and white, yes, for this type of photography (people), it really works well because people are a very complexed subject, black and white simplifies it a little. Simplification wouldn't work so well on landscapes (most landscapes) of course.

The first picture actually, because of the situation, i've adjusted the saturation lower, to reflect the sombre nature of the photo.. there's nothing particularly colourful about this person life.. but he is still there and still surviving everyday, on what he has (not much). The piece of cardboard with no money on is quite hard hitting, as no one seems to care for him.
