            One of our boys was looking rather forlorn this morning in the rain. All the girls had enough sense to sit under shrubs and trees. There wasn't enough light for the camera to focus properly.

              Walking down a country lane this afternoon, this Chaffinch was sitting atop the hedge by the roadside singing to us from only a few feet away. :)

                Yesterday, being Bank Holiday, I took Ozzy out for the day. We went to a nature reserve and I saw my first dragonfly this year - didn't get a picture it was too flipping fast! - it was a darter (?) dragonfly.

                Today, I have woken up with bites on my scalp ... so, I suppose that is a sign the midgies are out and about buzzing/flying around too ( :gaah: ). This evening, my head is positively covered in bites :th scifD36:
