It started raining at 12pm and it's still raining at 16.43 pm. With a gentle breeze from the south south west temp 9c feels like 8c

I was driving a buses at the time when we had a very bad winter, ice & snow and very few roads gritted. The worst part for me was driving my Fiesta getting to the bus dept. I can remember getting the bus stuck and eating my turkey sandwich along with a flask of coffee.

I haven't got a Kindle but a Kobo which at the time could magnify the text which the Kindle couldn't do. It was handy when I was working to read whilst eating my lunch, I could prop it up and my hands were free. I still use it daily and you can download free books from the library service.

We were changed over to Digital a couple of weeks ago. I don't think you have much choice in the matter as if BT are closing down the existing landlines in your area that's it. We don't have a battery however. The only difference is that of our 3 linked phones, the master one with the answer...

Oh sorry to read that, it is sad when you lose a favourite. My garden is not clay so when we have seriously low temperatures it is not quite such a disaster with the soil being free draining.
