    We bought a daphne several years ago from Rode Hall, Congleton on a snowdrop walk about this time of year. No idea what the variety is but it self seeds very easily and is flowering now.

    You might be able to drill through the aluminium if there is a piece wide enough anywhere? With the glass in it would be very sturdy. You could ask your installers.

    I am going with some sort of Cotyledon orbiculata but I already have one of these and the leaf shape is the same but grey leaved with a floury surface. More digging needed I think!!
