    I also use the coloured labels as no need to write on them if you make a note of which colour applies to which plant. NB don't lose your notebook :biggrin:

    Altho I think that low maintenance is a goal rarely achieved as you find your garden "grows on you" in more ways than one, I'd think perhaps you would be best to stick to shrubs and perennials. ...

    I think it is probably more to do with whatever el-cheapo production line Primark uses for each colour... having said that, for the money in them, they last just as well as stuff at four or five...
