I am often puzzled by modern life.

And thank goodness they are. If we could hear them scream as we approached with secateurs or pulled up a "weed", it would be disconcerting. ;)

After a rare dry bright day yesterday, back to grey, wet and windy again. So glad we seized the chance to get in the garden yesterday.

Go for whichever is available in the colours/varieties you want at a price that suits you. If you buy plug plants they should develop tubers that you can keep for subsequent years.
