Our very old thyme has given up the ghost. Our fault because we didn't prune it back when we should have done. However some thyme (not sure which one) appeared in a different area of the garden in a lavender bed more like a rock garden space, and this is a creeping one that the bees love.

The misuse of emigrate/ immigrate peeves me, too.

Thanks victorian. Have been looking online. Bought a pack of seeds to try out. They DID advise not to add any sort of nutrients.Just a light covering of soil. Will give it a go with a few other plants that I like, such as cornflowers, and we shall see. Have been very lucky with planting so far.

Thanks everyone!I’ll give them a go with a repot and see how they get on this year. I don’t really have anywhere sheltered and sunny I can put them so I’ll leave them where they are for this year and if it doesn’t improve they might need a new home. Let’s see.
