Growing some purple bok choy and some "perrenial" kales I was gifted, one is supposed to become a giant bush eventually that you can keep alive by taking cuttings. interesting!

I think you're right @CostasK, the dry soil doesn't really suit them here. I grew a couple in containers once but decided not to keep them after they'd finished flowering. It's tough for plants...
