    Must admit I do cover mine, but only slightly, the birds used to pull them out, or maybe as the roots formed they pushed themselves out, but I plant with a trowel in a shallow hole these days,...

    Been dry and fairly bright at times, a veil of cloud mostly filtering the sun. I think the wind has slowly continued to drop all day. Feeling coldish but not desperately cold. 10c.
