I did a swap of plants a few years ago and one of the swaps was this,

I am pretty sure I was told it was as above but looking on the net it describes this variety as having thin leaves like other Iris Sibirica of which I have quite a few.
The leaves are much more substantial indeed the whole plant is, rather than other varieties of Sibirica and the shape of flower is not really the same either. It also flowers a bit later. I am intending to move the clump and while it is probably ok to move it now if I remove a good deal of the foliage as you would flag Iris, I certainly do not want to do the wrong thing as it is extremely nice. It took a couple of years to settle down to flowering well but I need to move it unfortunately. Hoping someone may recognise it. Thanks.

Thank you Sheal for your efforts.I did a bit of a search on the internet and it seems that Iris Sanguinea Snow Queen is just the same as the Iris Sibirica:noidea:. The good news is it seems I can transplant later in the year if it is of the Sanguinea/Sibirica family which will suit me better. I have just moved a huge amount of bearded Iris which are best move now and have enough watering of them to do without more newly transplanted needing assistance.

I wonder if it's worth querying the two with the RHS Hailbopp? Or perhaps if there's an Iris association in existence. I can't believe there are two identical plants with different names, something isn't quite right.
