I would have loved to have been able to tinkle the ivories. I can pick out any tune right handed, but the left, refuses to join in. Years and years ago. My aunt would come in on Boxing day and play the piano.
Sadly I haven't a keyboard, but I have amused myself with an online, virtual piano keyboard. It's fun. I did once try to identify this tune by dah, dahing it online. zilch. I was wondering if any member is a pianist and if I could somehow get the notes onto the forum. Could anyone help.

@Mike Allen now you got me intrigued. Can you please dum-di-dah the tune in writing, and give a vague description what we are looking for? A music hall tune, a piece of classic, a song or an instrumental?

I used to play a variety of instruments, with both hands  and it has been playing in my mind that perhaps playing music again might be quite nice for the retirement years. It has now been 20 years since I played a tune with an instrument. That's a bit sad.

Thank you. I will return to the internet site for virtual piano keyboard. Then write down the keys, that way you will hear the tune.

I used the virtual piano a lot when I was working in childcare....certainly got the children interested in making and listening to music from a very young age( 1yr olds and over)
Sorry Mike can't say that I recognise it either.:dunno:
