Rechargeables have a lower voltage than ordinary ones, they should n't be used in certain appliances. Usually 1.2volt as opposed to 1.5 volt, mounts up if you need multiple ones.

I've got a few similar, grown from seed back in the 80s when I was in my cactus growing phase, lost a few recently due to not repotting or not having enough space for them.

I have this book...probably similar to your book. My problem is my memory! Very often fern id involves the sori on the back. It is much easier when book and mystery fern are seen side my side.
