I only managed an hour in the garden this morning as we were expecting a visitor for lunch. Also it was very windy and cold so just pruned four more roses, then called it a day.Hope you can manage to get your roses planted We have clay soil here but thankfully it isn't stony.

I made a batch of rock cakes in the airfryer as an experiment. They came out very well. Unfortunately it does mean I’ll probably make them more often, as I no longer have to put the oven on. Just eaten two of them to test. Not going to do my weight any good.

After a several -5cs and gale force winds these last two weeks, the Acacia lost loads of buds and turned some leaves brown. The Calothamnus has brown tips too and the small pink Echium bought in the Summer looks dead. We still have February to get through!
