Anyone struck fig tree cuttings before?

Indeed. It'll likely be breaking dormancy in around a month and could be fully rooted by June. Unless this house sale goes incredibly smoothly, there should be enough time.

    What's Cooking Today??

    What's your weather like 2026

Floods everywhere, yet it is still snowing on the hill tops, very odd weather, 5 degrees at the moment.

    Did I plant this?

@Plantminded to be honest, I'm not keen on it. I'll do whatever is necessary - maybe. I prefer the daisies in my ' lawn"

What are we doing in the garden 2026

I sowed Broad beans and peas into rootrainers. Potted on some Aonuim cuttings, they have rooted really well in a 50:50 mix of mpc and perlite. I think putting them in terracotta pots helped too.

    Household tips

A lot of tablets use lactose as a filler, could be the active ingredient or could just be china clay which is very good at absorbing stuff.

All you want to know about hedgehogs....

This little one is being cared for at my local rescue. When a cosy home is required, there's nothing quite like hedgehog engineering .
