A bamboo cane cut into short lengths also works well, using three in a triangle or four in a square. Easily hidden and reused or replaced.

@Perki my American Pillar was supposed to be Darcey Bussell. I bought it online but someone must have put the wrong label on it. It's very pretty when in flower.
