    What's your weather like 2026

The forecast that predicted dry until 3pm was correct. It’s raining steadily now and it’s set to stay all night, unless it falls as snow.

    Unknown seedling

Fuschia can produce attractive (?) fruity berries likely to appeal to birds so could have arrived by air. There are in excess of 9000 cultivars so it may be worth growing on just to see.

    Ideas for shady front garden....

If you did decide to remove your grass areas @machtucker, Hakonechloa makes good ground cover. I have it planted under an Acer in my lower garden shown below in summer, autumn and winter.

    My Garden Progress

I found that Phlox is pretty much bullet proof. If it was me, I'd dig it up, rinse all of the soil from the roots. Pull all of the grass and then re-plant the phlox. I think it would forgive you.
