I read almost the complete opposite of that - talks had deteriorated to such a level that the writing was on the wall and countries started to evacuate their people, UK included.

What died on you this winter?
Nothing dead here, although most Heucheras are looking shabby. They are currently on the review list which precedes the departure lounge . The bluebells are back with a vengeance though .
