First garden - haven't the foggiest
That looks like a good option if you decide to go for a corded mower. It looks robust and the height change looks simple, some require fiddly adjustments underneath. Spear and Jackson is a good brand.

Advice on raised beds please
When I grew flowers for my daughter's wedding I used 2m x 1m. I had clay soil and I mixed bought compost into it. It was in my vegetable garden and I had Love in a Mist for years afterwards!
