Trying to understand how to fill a part of a bed

Plum tree - best place to buy?
I have some rubber tree ties - if using two vertical stakes do I then screw a horizontal bar between the two stakes and then attach the strap to that bar and the tree trunk?

Thanks for the advice with my sweet peas, but going to hold off for a week as I see there is low pressure coming in over the Atlantic. So going to wait for the next warm spell.

Hozelock Auto Reel, Outside Year round or.....
Anyway last year I managed to grow my first Peonie after several years of trying, as soon as it flowered and I was proud of my handy work I got the hose tangled around it and it snapped. Doh.
