Was 20.3c for a couple of hours. Nice afternoon. Neighbour and daughter visiting from Berlin came for a visit. I gave them a Schefflera and a Crinum from my clear out this morning. It is 18.5c now.

I put some of those in about three weeks ago, getting their true leaves now, I do find they need a longer growing season than the smaller types, and ripening can be slow, but worth the effort.

I thought plates came in 3 sizes...Tea plates being the smallest ( a slice of toast or a scone ), Breakfast plates - egg on toast maybe ? and then Dinner plates - a full meal. Given the size of portions nowadays, you would probable need what would usually be referred to as a Platter. Not sure...

Is that a beech tree? I saw one in the park that had come down in the wind a few days ago, massive tree and the whole thing had shattered when it hit the ground, the wood was totally infested with fungus. Beech seems to go that way.
