Had a funny turn earlier, got a circle of flashing coloured lights in my vision, temperature went through the roof & started shaking.

Phoned NHS direct, they told me to get to a&e, but not to drive. Said I was in the middle of nowhere so they told me to call an ambulance.

Called ambulance, they told me to phone the docs & that a doc would come out & see me.

Phoned Docs, they told me to visit the opticians.(how if i've been told not to drive?)

Should I cut the corner & just go to the plumbers instead?

You could be experiencing a migraine also CC.. You have been & are, experiencing extreme stress at the moment too.. I get the flashing lights etc, raging temp at onset for about 10 mins, feel sick too.. Then when it calms down I just feel weird for about 12hrs afterwards, but I do have a blood prob & that is what triggers mine..
Do what dim says & go & get your blood pressure checked & a blood scan done & ask them to do a platelet count too..... Take care....

I do still feel a bit odd, no headache at all though, will eat a bucket of garlic to sort blood pressure.

Probably is stress related, hopefully that will be sorted within a few days. Had strange desire for hot sweet tea afterwards:what::coffee:

Thanks for the advice good people.

Captain, do yourself a favour and join a gym (if you can)....

go 5 times a week (consecutive days),

take it easy in the beginning (do 10 minutes per machine on the treadmill, cycle, rowing machine and stepping machine).... and after a few months as you get fitter, increase by 1 minute per week per machine, till you get to 20min per machine

then, start the weight machines to strengthen your upper body and legs (not weightlifting, but light weights repetitive)

have a proper breakfast (like cooked scottish oats breakfast), eat a healthy lunch and a healthy dinner .... plus fruit as a snack inbetween ...

cut alcohol on gym days (if you drink), and drink 2 litres of water a day ... plus take a good multivitamin 5 times a day ... if you smoke, cut down on gym days, but no need to stop completely

in 2 months time, you will be fitter, healthier and be full of energy ... in 6 months time, you will be superfit

on weekends, go crazy, drink, eat whatever you want and be merry

your blood pressure will be normal, you will sweat out all the poisions in your system, you will loose excessive weight ....

but will have to buy new clothes

it will become a way of life .... you will feel good, and you will look good

              Cheers Dim,

I do physical work (when i've got work) So am quite fit already. I eat a cooked vegetarian breakfast, lunch usually consists of fish & fresh or frozen veg & potatoes. Tea around 5pm is toast, chutney, preserve or garlic. Don't eat supper. I do drink red wine.

              I'm 5'11" & weigh 10 stone.

Could have been, didn't put sugar in tea at breakfast as far as I remember.

Did think I was going to pass out a bit before, but thought that was because I stood up too quick.:what:

Sounds to me (and I'm not a doctor) like a migraine, probably exasperated by being a bit run down, either through general tiredness or stress.

I get cravings for hot sweet tea when my blood sugar level drops a bit low.

Sounds to me like its time to take a break. Have some 'me time', even if its just half an hour each day, when you can say all the trees to the rest of the world, and just chill out with a cuppa and bar of chocolate.

Cheers Dave (and John of course)

If I get a positive phonecall over the next few days, I will be chillin like a very chilled thing. In fact I will be so chilled that Sloths will be calling me up and asking advice about how to calm their lifestyles down.:dbgrtmb:
