I've noticed since the changeover my new threads are either taking a long while or not appearing at all on the forum heading. Eg., today I posted on Retailer Feedback over an hour ago but it's not shown on the title as a new thread. Any ideas please.

That's just typical! It's shown up now, but it has still taken over an hour.

 I have no idea why that should be Sheal, but you could try clearing your cookies out. It seems to cure allot of problems...

I expect the content is being cached by your service provider, or some content caching server along the way. (It might be that the headers on the page are set wrongly, and imply that the page CAN be cached, when it should imply that it should NOT, but I think if that was the case lots of people would be having the same problem.

You could try clicking on a different link on the page (the next time it happens after posting a message) - try clicking on the little #1, #2, #3 at the top right of a message, and then on the "forum heading" link that is top-right of the page that you THEN see. Or use Thread Tools : Show Printable version (from the menu at the top of the page).

Those should link back to the original thread using a different URL, if THAT works then its definitely caching your end (or at your ISP)

Thanks Marley, but I cleared my cookies out recently.

Thanks Kristen. I don't think it's my service provider as my thread appears almost immediately but not on the subject heading. So in effect my threads could be by-passed because they are not being displayed as a new post.

Thanks again Marley, think I'll get my son, or son-in-law to check this out for me and see what they can come up with.

    Hi Marley,
With the help of my son I think we've got my posting problem sorted now.
I was using the back arrow button to return to the message board (which worked on the old forum), I am now using the forum path links at the top of the page to return to the message board. :)
