Isopropyl

I am trying to purchase some isopropyl which I have been told is the best thing to clean my vinyl collection. I was also told it can be bought in any chemist shop or superstore but so far I have not had any luck except for a half-litre bottle for �£5.99. I don't really need one that size as I think half of that would last me for ages.

Anybody got any information please?

 

jj, just buy any cheap rubbing alcohol (from a Lidl or Aldi for under a quid) ... it's isopropyl. If you can't find it, use vodka (potato) but never gin (juniper).

 

You could always fortify your vino with what's left, as long as you don't mind going blind

'Fraid vino mixtures etc are a thing of the past since I've had diabetes - never liked it anyway :D :D :D

 

jjordie i believe "Maplins" stock Isopropyl in smaller sizes.
