My ISP is Virgin media, email address is @ntlworld.com

Many of my emails are from Wiley. Science publishers etc. These emails start with the usual greeting etc then list several leads to science papers. So I choose the first on the list. Open it up, probably print a copy. Then I want item 2. To view this I am having to exit my emails, then re-request my emails. Following a couple of these episodes, I am confronted with a sign in page, asking if I am a robot, followed by a series of pictures that insist I identify similarities etc. This takes so much time. Were I to be on dial up, it would cost me a bomb. Any ideas how I might get around this please.

Why do you have to exit email? Are you accessing them via browser perhaps? You could try right clicking the links and opening in separate browser tabs, that should at least stop having to go round the houses with the email but I doubt it would stop the robot check

    Hi,

Not sure about your actual problem, but a bit surprised you are still using VMs @ntlworld.com for your emails, I still have mine but transfered to gmail /outloook etc long ago as VM had real problems with ntl emails resulting in not getting any mail for several days.

Its also always a problem should you ever change ISP , so using a non ISP email service saves loads of future problems.

We use an email client as well, like Thunderbird so its easy to get your mail from ntl, gmail ,outloook all at the same time and without you having to sign in every time as Thunderbird does it for you.

Just to add to Ricky's excellent advice, when you set up your email client (and Thunderbird is excellent, and free), make sure that you use IMAP and not POP3. Give us a shout if you need help.
