Hi all in new hear and was exploring the site and found this thread.

I am a huge animal lover and I thought I would share pictures of my two rescue cats Rio and Luna.
Rio is the larger of the two and is a very laid back cat.
Luna is the exact opposite to Rio I'm often looking around for pens and alsorts. Screenshot_20250130-165102~2.png PXL_20241201_210729361.jpg PXL_20250107_210649436.jpg PXL_20250609_195056613.jpg PXL_20250621_191538250.jpg PXL_20250526_062503983.jpg PXL_20250407_191842712.MP~2.jpg

Welcome to the forum, Colin. I know Chesterfield quite well. Spent my early years there on and off.

Here are our two rescue cats, both female, both terrified of the outdoors but otherwise chalk and cheese. The first one is only 4 and the second one is 15. The 15 year old arrived here when she was 4 and thought she had the house to herself. Then young trouble arrived and the old girl now spends her days looking for quiet corners where she won’t be found.:)

Welcome Cats.jpeg Colin and Rio and Luna. I am a cat lady and they have owned me for 57 years. Currently Chere Khan (aka Munchkin) and Hoover Van Dyson (Van) share our home in the sun and The Squeak visits often.

We do Tropical gardening that suits our hot climate.

Enjoy here. there are lots of great people ... I know as I have been here 19 years.

            Tidemark.

They look lovely looking cats and sound like a lot of fun. My two cats are indoor cats and like yourself Rio arrived first and thought he had the house all to himself, but then I heard about a kitten no one wanted so I chose to give her a home, at first Rio was not happy with the new little bundle of caous but now they are never apart.

            Victoria.

Thank you for the welcome I really like the names of your cats. Tropical gardening sounds interesting.

Thank you both for the warm welcome.

Hello and welcome @Colin 392. We also have had cats for many years now. 5 Decades.

The latest pair are coming up to 9 years old now and shared us with 2 rescue dogs till just over a year ago when old age took them. She is black and white and a talented huntress who talks a lot and brings prezzies. He is all white with aquamarine eyes and a clutz - clumsy, clueless except for food and cuddles. We also have 2 rescue hens who live in the veg plot. They all like gardening with us.

Now we have a visitor - Siamese colour but European shape - who started by sneaking in thru the catflap and stealing food at night so I'm feeding it properly till we can get friendly enough to catch it and check for an ID chip. It isn't in top nick and I don't know if it's been abandoned or got lost. Have to try and help it tho.

Bella said thank you for saying she's beautiful
She's 14 and now has has an overactive thyroid, for which she takes medication twice a day (under protest !) but it's working.

I forgot to show the babies .. .both were unwanted and abandoned ...both are very talkative and indoor/outdoor critters (they have to be in at night) are allowed out at 8am and have a catflap which is closed at night.

                      Munchkin aged 16 ...
