Echeveria ‘Perle von Nurnberg’ growing outside all year around for about six years now. I originally got them from someone whose place was infested with Vine Weevil and none of them had any roots. It also hates a watering can and seems to exist just on dew.

Mrs Shiney asked whether anyone could identify this for her. She wants to know the name as she's entering it into the local show.

Hi @shiney , these are Sempervivums. They're totally hardy unlike the Echeverias.

Hi @andrews thanks for the name.
I have one of those but bought it unnamed.
Had it over a year and not one off set as yet.

Its a stunning plant @pete. Ive been told that I may get the bracts on the flower stem to root. I'll be sowing the seed when its ready as Ive had very good success with echiveria seeds this year.

Just sowed a load of aeonium seed too (11 varieties) and they are all germinating nicely.

I made the usual mistake of sowing aeoinium seeds in spring, they have stood still all summer.

Im not sure what this Echiavera is called, in the photos it looks like the edge of the leaves are a burgundy colour... but in real life it has a spectacular colour that i can only describe as purple-pink-Red-blue-purple
Its as though the colour has an extra dimension when compared to normal colours
