    Hi,

Our lawns came ready laid with the house many years ago and are not heavily used though we do like to see a neat tidy lawn, using a cylinder mower but on a medium height setting to give a decent sward.

We need to overseed, but not sure which type is best, the ones with Rye or the ones without ? Is about 50gram per sq mtr about right ?

Seems there are some pre treated seed, quiet expensive, assume they are aimed more at the not so regular gardeners ?

Tricky question! Skip the rye as you probably already have it, go for the slender bladed types often found in the 'luxury' mixes
