We had not seen a goldfinch in years, so we put out a Niger seed feeder. Now, we have a flock of them and have gone through 20 pounds of Niger seed, and it costs about $2.50 per pound, still it is worth it to have these colorful little critters flitting about. This is a young non-breeding male.
