Another potential issue is that I'm growing some potatoes in a raised bed near the compost bin. Are they likely to go for those? If so, is there any way to protect them? There is currently some mesh over the top but I'll need to remove it soon to allow the potatoes to grow.

Repotting plants that overwintered in pots. Had to make a list of the plants needing ericaceous or neutral-alkaline substrate. Tired. Many are ready for a new season now.

I think I'll just do my usual and mix jacks magic with ji no3 and sharp sand.It works ok but was hoping for a cheaper option.I bought a bag or two of some unknown stuff a couple of years ago...
