Rat problem
Think one of the biggest draws to rats is BBQs, especially 'chilled out' neighbours, not tiding up, or leaving the tidying until morning after a jolly good BBQ.

I spotted our first swallows and martins on Thursday. Lots of swooping and calling and too fast to see if they're house or sand martins or both.

I like the moat method for seedlings I sow in the greenhouse and it works well (I put the legs of the stand in water so I have more room) but you do get intrepid slugs that scale the greenhouse...
