I'm using Windows 7 and am presently updating software to try and overcome issues with GC. Can anyone recommend a compatible browser and version of it please.

Go for Firefox @Sheal - new version works beautifully. Just search for Firefox, then make sure you choose the mozilla.org link.

Feel free to PM me if you need help

@fat controller. I was with my son-in-law yesterday when I asked the above question and as you replied he'd installed Google Chrome for me. That's what I'm working with this evening and so far it's rubbish! Looks like I'll be taking up your option next, thanks. :)

My daughter prefers Chrome, but I can't seem to get on with it myself. I have used FireFox for years now, and have never had a problem with it; some of the add-ons are fantastic too, such as the English dictionary spell checker.

Any help you need, just give me a shout, I'd be happy to help

My son-in-law is a computer programmer so knows his way around. :) Next week he'll be having my computer for a while to sort out the mess that is supposedly Skype on my machine. While he has it I'll get him to install Firefox and we'll see how that performs.

Meanwhile I've had an evening here with Chrome and GC is performing even worse than it was before!

Thanks for the offer of help, we'll see how we go. :)
