There are loadsa caterpillars eating my tomato plants. I've picked some off by hand but what can I do to get rid of them?
I haven't had that problem before, but with other crops I do it the organic way a hard jet of water from the hose regularly. Not sure that would be practical if you have an infestation though ... good luck
Hi LMRR. Just to be sure, they ARE caterpillars, right ? I've never heard of them causing problems with tomatoes before. Would be interesting to know if this problem has been experienced by others in the forum. Cheers...freddy.
Nope, never had slug problems with toms...same with onions although someone did say on an onion thread about slug probs, but its a new one on me tbh.:thumb:
I'm sure they're caterpillars. Most are green and there are some brown ones with a cream stripe down the back
