Ohhh lucky you Helen ! how old is the tree, which type is it, I have grown Gunnii for years not had flowers yet, but I keep cutting them back anually for my goathouse bedding, suppose to deter mites. Seem to work.

    Hi
I have a 8 year old Eucalyptus (about 15foot tall)with mature & new leaves & it flowers this time of year & has done for the past 4 years. I chop it back about the end of April, so they don't last long! I'll see if I can upload a pic. They are pretty!

My tree must be at least 8 by now, I grew it in a pot for a long time so it's only about 18 foot tall. The lable said it was a gunnii but I have a friend who is convinced that it's not.
They are also supposed to deter gnats, so I put it by my patio doors for a while to stop them from coming into the house. No one told the gnats that they don't like eucalyptus.
