Zig, ever been to the park in Bristol? One near the Cabot Tower?

Saw this tree which was planted in 1902, thought it was pretty cool!

Interesting that it was planted by a Gardner!

Nice one Kyle:dbgrtmb: Not been there, even though my Daughter lives there I try not to go into the middle, incase Freddy catches me and asks for that fiver back.

In the 17th century there was a Bishop Rowland Searchfield in Bristol. Almost the same spelling as my boy's name.

A fiver? Must be more by now, with the added interest:)
As an aside, the squirrels there are very tame, and they will come up to you, looking for food I guess:)

I have a video of me and my girlfriend trying to get some squirrels to come up to us! Quite friendly and there's masses of them!

Yeah, I was quite surprised myself, at how friendly/tame they were. I think they are something of a local attraction...BTW, did you go up the tower?

If you can get her to hold a couple of nuts in her hand, it may encourage the Squirrels:loll:

I did! But I hate heights so I couldn't go to the edge.. and it was windy.

I went up there MANY moons ago, and wasn't by choice! As I recall, wonderful views of the city. I think I'm right in saying it hadn't been open for a while, for repairs to be carried out. BTW, what were you doing in our 'ahem'...wonderful city?

My girlfriend goes to Bath uni, so came down for two weeks. Visited Weston-super-Mare, too!

I liked the £2 book shop round the corner from the park, bought a nice gardening book.
