I bought this cherry 5 years ago, planted it on my "bank", I go from side to side filling the bird feeders, I have I think knocked off the growing top, so its now only 4ft in height. Gave it a prune last year, but will take off some of the thicker branches in autumn. I am quite pleased with it.

Very pretty Pam and such a delicate shade of pink. Looks just right where it is too. Do you feed it ever ( apart from bird seed :heehee:)?

if pruning you need to do June till end of July so the cuts have a chance to heal over, doing it late can introduce disease in to the branches

Looks fab , spring is here :dancy:

Second that. I try to avoid pruning my Cherries at all as I think that is perhaps the most likely route by which they will get some terminal disease, sadly :(

beautiful looking flowering cherry you have there Pam  we have a 'dwarf' one in a pot that's been looking a bit worst for wear the last few years, think i'll have to bite the bullet & plant it in the ground in the front garden this year...if it looks half as good as yours does i'll be a happy camper ;)

It`s looking even better now, the blossom is fully open, and some of the leaves have appeared.will post a pic later.
