Lizards

I saw a small one (probably baby because it was under 2" long) here, in the front garden, yesterday, it was the first time i've seen one and was chuffed to bits :D
That garden is a very hot, very dry and very sunny area so it would be quite suitable for them, seen grass snakes but never these - when you see how quickly they move i'm surprised i saw it at all !!!

 

We have seen them about when we have been on holiday down your way and they are usually basking in the sun when we find them.:D

I bet it was really nice to have one in your garden especially a baby one

 

It was great, Kandy, i'm still excited now :D

 

It was probably a Common Lizard which now aren't at all common due to habitat loss.

 

As are so many other things too

 

Unfortunately the list is getting longer and longer.
Sadly the title 'Common' for some of our wildlife just isn't applicable anymore.

 

Was the Carrier Pidgeon ever called Common ?
