Revolution

There's a comedy program on telly at the moment and the chap has just made a most excellent point very succinctly.

He was on about the constant threats of revolution that us Brits like to make, and pointed out that it will never happen because most of us can't even be bothered to get up to turn the telly over, and those Brits that are genuinely poor, are fat. The poorer you are, the fatter you are he said (presumably an observation that the cheapest food tends to be the high fat frozen filth that certain supermarkets specialise in). He pointed out that in other countries, and even in Britain in the past, the poor were thin, athletic, and hungry. Just what you need to get the determination and capability for an effective uprising.
