I planted one of these a few months ago and have a question about the two 'buds' i can see. They are a creamy colour, quite fat and healthy looking but .... they're above the ground, the crown is above ground .... so i'd like to know from folks who know (!) should those buds be covered over, shall i heap soil over them or let them stay as they are ? There is one leaf/stem which has now toppled over and has started to die at the base - shall i pull that off or leave it - i don't want anything to rot and damage the plant.
Hi Louise Googled the plant as I have no personal experience of it ,and this info seems quite informative Sanguinaria canadensis - Cultivation (growing techniques) - Members' On-Line Discussion - Alpine Garden Society
