BT doesn't seem to like very large attachments Rosa so if sending big pics you are better doing it one at a time.
How you resize depends on the imaging software you have on your PC. I resize mine in Paintshop Pro.
Are you using Outlook Express to handle your email? If you can use it, sending attachments is very easy.
If you try to send a whole folder of photos, I guess the overall size will be too big.

Hi Rosa, not sure if I can be of any help but it doesn't matter what photo's are sent to me by family and friends they always look big but if I go to the little paperclip on the right hand corner and click on that then the photos look the right size for viewing.

When they are big I can zoom in to get a closer look at detail or can scroll up and down.Hope this helps with your query [IMG]

Hi Rosa Try this Open the Folder that all the Photos are in Then just click on one of the photos so it is active then click on Edit on the top toolbar scroll down to select all click on select all and all the Photos in the Folder will become active then hopefully a box will appear asking if you want to re size to make them smaller (more manageable) click yes And then send
as normal But it will take a bit of time,If this doesn't work I will catch the next train up.Hope this helps. [IMG]

    a couple of suggestions.

I have never been able to sen a folder of anything, regardless of its size, the contents of that folder yes, but not the folder itself.

    Back to the problem.

the thing with big a picture (in file size) is two fold.

when it arrives at the other end its too big for the screen and you have to scroll across / up down to see which is not only annoyning you dont get the "pespective" (if that is the right word) of the picture subject

it can take a long time to up /down load for both sender and reciver. (even with BB)

and some isps have a file size limit. (ok 3 fold)

    Solutions

Get picture editing software, you only need buy it once, i have Paint shop pro, other picture editing software programmes are available. it can shrink a picture in both physical size and file size, which is easier for sending

I can post some example pictures if you like

The other option is not to send the pictures at all, no i am not joking.(please read on)

You can upload your pictures to your own website / webspace (but you may have to still shrink them a bit) some if not all isps give you some webspace.

There are several free (yes the really are free) picture webhosts, you can upload pictures and or videos

In the two above cases you only need to email the person to tell them where the pictures are.

    I use live video

you can upload still pictures as well as videos

you can also select to make them non public, so only the people you tell can view them, but with so many pictures its unlikey anyone will know its you anyway.

    words of caution

There really is nothing wrong with places like live video, but there was one, I think it was called image host (apologies to image host if it wasn't them) it went bust / closed down. so all and any pictures on there were lost, so do keep a copy on your own pc.

There is a limit to how big a file you can send in any one email I rarely send anything larger than 2mb anything else and I will upload it to my webspace. If it has gone from you ok but your friends haven't recieved it then it has been stopped at the server end. If you are unsure if something will make it then request a read reciept or use a programme like msgtag which will inform you when the email has been recieved.
