Put up my Greenhouse ... time to get stuff in it 
    Want to grow Tomatoes

I have a pack of F1 Inca seeds ... which I will start off today. (freebie)
    That will fulfil ‘plum’ style.

Want to grow Toms that are tasty ... don’t need show specimens, don’t want huge crops ... just taste.

My thoughts are to get some plants (rather than seeds) for
Gardeners Delight to give me cherry Tomatoes
Possibly Ailsa Craig for normal style eaters.

Anybody got better options (Greenhouse only) ... also any particular place on-line that is good for small number of plants ? ......

Getting late to sow seed for greenhouse, I suggest you look in the garden centre to see if they have plants of any varieties that you like the sound of. Even if you only buy one plant, and grow the rest from seed, that will give you a considerable march on seed sown (its about 4-6 weeks from seed-sowing to "plant-big-enough-to-sell")

I used to grow Ailsa Craig, but since growing other things I no longer think much of it. Nor Moneymaker.

    My short list is:

    Gardeners Delight
Shirley F1 (for the "main crop")
Sungold (which by my counting is the most favoured Tomato in all forum "Polls", but I'm growing it for the first time)

As Kristen says, it's a little late to sow tomato seeds, Sargan. I'm growing Rosada [Plum], Shirley, and Juliet this year. Shirley is a good cropper and tastes very good. Rosada I grew last year and is the best tasting plum varieties I've ever tasted. Juliet I haven't grown before so I'm looking forward to that. I wouldn't disagree with Kristen's choice of toms to try to get from the nearest Plant Nursery.

Appreciate seeding is getting laste - that is why I was asking what plants to buy ....

I have sowed seeds for the Incas (packet does say OK until May) they were free - nothing to lose.

But rest I will buy as plants.
Looking for taste ... over cropping abundnace.

Agree that is it a bit late now. I saw a lot of very cheap tomato plants in Aldi this evening - about £1.50 ish for half a dozen - that's probably cheaper than buying the seed and compost.

Here's my Tomato Taste test thread from last year http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/edible-gardening/1660-tomato-taste-test.html

Gardeners Delight is a good choice but I would not recommend Ailsa Craig for taste.
