Have heard of Tomatillos

 

I can vaguely remember a similar name that was an italian plum shaped tomato

looking on searches tomatillos are something related to tomatoes/nightshade family

I grew Tomatillos a couple of years ago. Really needed to be grown under cover. Similar to physalis, in fact it is a physalis. Like cape gooseberry but larger and insipid flavour but the yanks and mex like them.They've got some on ebay.
