How well would a brugmansia fare planted directly into a border? I have grown some from seed, and don't really want to have loads of pots around, and have holes in my borders that need filling.

First year from seed they rarely flower.
Will grow like crazy I'm guessing though.

It is possible to lift them and pot them for overwintering if you want to.
Personally I dont bother trying to overwinter outside.
